English Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a secondary school team on an ongoing long-term temporary basis starting at the end of December 2025. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of literature and language while helping pupils achieve their academic goals.

Duties as English Teacher:

• Plan, prepare and teach high-quality English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.

• Monitor, assess and report on student progress and attainment.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support each learner’s development.

Ideal English Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience teaching English at secondary level.

• Excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management skills as English Teacher.

• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
