Job description

Step Teachers are currently working with an excellent school within the Plymouth area for a SEN TA to cover a long-term position. We also offer competitive rates and amazing perks!

Role:

  • Provide one-on-one or within small groups

  • Assist with classroom management and create a positive and safe classroom atmosphere

  • Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities

  • Help maintain a clean and organised learning environment

  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children, especially in an educational setting, is an advantage

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children

  • Willingness to collaborate with teachers and support staff

  • A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
