Food Nutrition Teacher – Part-time, temporary role until February half term, starting February 2026

Duties as Food Nutrition Teacher:
- Deliver Food Nutrition lessons up to GCSE and A Level using pre-prepared materials
- Teach engaging practical and theory-based lessons with no marking or planning required
- Support pupils’ understanding of key food and nutrition principles
- Maintain a safe and well-managed classroom environment, particularly during practical work
- Monitor learning within lessons and offer verbal feedback
- Contribute positively to the wider team and follow consistent departmental routines
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Food Nutrition Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong subject teaching experience
- Confident teaching Food Nutrition up to GCSE and A Level
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning needs
- Clear communication skills and a proactive, supportive attitude
- Commitment to pupil progress and well-being
- Reliable, reflective, and able to work effectively within established structures
