Job description

This school is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable General Science Teacher to join a dedicated and forward-thinking Science department. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional to engage students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4. Starting September 2025.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across the science curriculum (KS3–KS4)

  • Support students to develop their investigative skills, scientific knowledge, and critical thinking

  • Prepare learners for internal assessments and external qualifications (e.g. GCSE Combined Science or Triple Science)

  • Contribute to curriculum development and participate in enrichment activities such as STEM clubs and science fairs

  • Use data to monitor progress and support students of all abilities

Ideal General Science Teacher:

 

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a Science-related degree

  • Ability to teach across all three sciences at KS3 and Combined Science at KS4

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for making science accessible and engaging

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills as a General Science Teacher.

  • A team player with a commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration
