General Science Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary cover starting January 2026 and ongoing

Duties as General Science Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages, tailored to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
- Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning
- Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning space
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and share best practice
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to departmental planning
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Specialist subject knowledge in Science across Key Stages
- Ability to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Previous experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting is desirable
