General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

Duties as General Science Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging General Science lessons using pre-prepared materials
  • Support pupils’ understanding of key scientific concepts across year groups
  • Maintain a positive and well-managed learning environment
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
  • Assess learning during lessons and provide verbal feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain consistent expectations and curriculum delivery
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure pupil welfare

Ideal General Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant Science teaching experience
  • Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 Science
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching to suit mixed-ability groups
  • Good communication and organisational abilities
  • A proactive, supportive approach to pupil progress
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
