General Science Teacher – Full-time maternity cover from February 2026

Duties as General Science Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging General Science lessons across the relevant year groups
- Support pupils’ understanding of scientific concepts through practical and theory-based learning
- Assess progress within lessons and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a calm, positive classroom environment that supports learning
- Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent curriculum delivery
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Science
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and KS4
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to adapt lessons for mixed-ability groups
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, reflective approach to supporting pupil progress
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being
