Position: General Science Teacher

Type: Part-time (3 days a week)

An exciting opportunity awaits you at a high achieving all-girls school in Tower Hamlets. The school are seeking a part-time General Science Teacher to join them from September. You will be teaching science from key stages 3 to key stages 4. The teacher of science will be required long-term on a maternity cover basis working 3 days a week. The school is easily accessible by public transport from the surrounding areas of London. In its latest OFSTED report the student’s behaviour was noted as ‘excellent’ and teachers and pupils alike create a calm and harmonious atmosphere in the classroom and around the school.

General Science Teacher - Role:

• Strong knowledge of the science curriculum.
• Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources.
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom and throughout the school.
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress.
• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

General Science Teacher - Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience teaching science at secondary level.
• A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners.
• A desire to contribute to the vibrant school community and engage in extracurricular activities.
