Position: Geography Teacher

Location: Haringey

Employment Type: Full-Time (Temporary to Permanent)

Start Date: September 2024

Step Teachers are working with a school that is seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of geographical concepts and the ability to inspire students through engaging and interactive lessons. This role involves teaching Geography to students at various grade levels, developing curriculum, and contributing to the school community.

Geography Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • As a Geography teacher, you will be responsible in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development activities.

Geography Teacher Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a related field.
  • QTS/PGCE.
  • Experience as a Geography Teacher at secondary school level.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
