Job description

Step Teachers are working with a large Multi Academy Trust who require an experienced middle leader to head up their languages department based in South West London.  As a Head of MFL, you'll be responsible for raising attainment across the faculty as well as ensuring excellent standards of teaching and learning . This Head of Languages post is a permanent offering, starting in September 2020. The school is well aware of the challenges ahead in regards to recruitment and are more than happy to interview candidates via video conferencing. 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • You will QTS along with a PGCE specialising in either French or Spanish 
  • The appointed Head of Language should motivate, enthuse, excite and challenge students to produce the highest quality work
  • To promote the positive ethos and culture of the school to other staff, governors, parents, children and members of the wider community
  • Previous experience leading a languages department and demonstrable experience of raising attainment levels
