Are you passionate about shaping the future of healthcare professionals and making a positive impact on students' lives? A ‘Good’ Hackney School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Health and Social Care to lead and inspire within their school.

Position: Head of Health and Social Care

Location: Hackney

Type: Full-time, permanent, April/September 2024 start

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Leadership: Lead and develop all aspects of the Health and Social Care curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the highest standards of education and prepares students for a successful future in the field.
  • Departmental Leadership: Provide high-quality leadership to the Health and Social Care Department, fostering a collaborative and innovative learning environment. Motivate and inspire a team of dedicated educators to achieve excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Contributing to Academy Leadership: Play a crucial role in enhancing the overall leadership capacity of the Academy. Collaborate with senior leadership to implement strategic initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.

 Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in Health and Social Care or a related field.
  • Ideally a proven track record of successful leadership within a Health and Social Care department.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment strategies, and pedagogical best practices.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Additional Requirement: Must be able to teach Childcare.
