Health and Social Care Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role from February 2026

Duties as Health and Social Care Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver Health and Social Care lessons for year 12 and 13 students
  • Teach and assess units aligned with the OCR Cambridge Technicals
  • Mark coursework and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Prepare learners for internal and external assessment requirements
  • Support students in developing industry-relevant skills and knowledge
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and foster a positive learning culture
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure learner welfare

Ideal Health and Social Care Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching post-16 learners
  • Strong knowledge of the OCR Cambridge Technicals, or the ability to develop this expertise independently
  • Confident planning, delivering, and assessing Health and Social Care units
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and assessment skills
  • Ability to motivate and support students working at varying levels
  • Positive, reflective, and proactive approach to teaching
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being
