Health and Social Care Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role from February 2026

Duties as Health and Social Care Teacher:

Plan and deliver Health and Social Care lessons for year 12 and 13 students
Teach and assess units aligned with the OCR Cambridge Technicals
Mark coursework and provide clear, constructive feedback
Prepare learners for internal and external assessment requirements
Support students in developing industry-relevant skills and knowledge
Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
Maintain high standards of behaviour and foster a positive learning culture
Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure learner welfare

Ideal Health and Social Care Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching post-16 learners
Strong knowledge of the OCR Cambridge Technicals, or the ability to develop this expertise independently
Confident planning, delivering, and assessing Health and Social Care units
Excellent organisational, communication, and assessment skills
Ability to motivate and support students working at varying levels
Positive, reflective, and proactive approach to teaching
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being
