Job description

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive Humanities department from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and help them explore the past in meaningful and engaging ways.

Duties as History Teacher:

 

  • Teach History across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that foster curiosity, debate, and critical thinking

  • Assess and monitor student progress to ensure all learners achieve their potential

  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities, such as trips and clubs

  • Support the school’s wider mission of promoting respect, diversity, and historical awareness

Ideal History Teacher:

 

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for History

  • Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning

  • Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills as a History Teacher.

  • Be reflective, resilient, and eager to contribute to the life of the school
