Are you passionate about bringing the past to life and inspiring the next generation of historians? We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive humanities department. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a History Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Use a variety of teaching strategies to support students of all abilities and backgrounds.
Encourage critical thinking, analysis, and debate within historical contexts.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
Contribute to the development of the History curriculum and departmental resources.
Participate in extra-curricular activities and educational visits that enrich the historical learning experience.
Ideal History Teacher:
A relevant degree and recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for History.
Experience teaching History in a secondary school setting (NQTs/ECTs welcome to apply).
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate learners as a History Teacher.
A commitment to promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
