Job description

We are working with a very friendly and welcoming primary school in Barnet to source an experienced and highly qualified HLTA for KS2. The role of as a HLTA for KS2 is to commence in April and is on a temporary basis to begin with. To be suited to this role as a HLTA for KS2 you will present yourself with consistently high regard to the ethos of the school.

As a HLTA for KS2 you must comply with the following attributes;

  • To promote the positive ethos and culture of the School to other staff, governors, parents, children and members of the wider community.
  • To contribute to and actively support the overall ethos/work/aims of the School.
  • To comply with, support and promote all school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to child protection, equal opportunities, racial equality, health, safety and security, confidentiality, behaviour and data protection.
  • You should have a demonstrable record of commitment to ongoing professional development.

This a friendly school where several previous candidates from Step Teachers have taken full time roles and have told us they are very happy. Ofsted rated the School as 'good’ on their last visit. The School is in a highly diverse area of London and many children enter with below average language skills, however the staff are justifiably proud of their record of progression for these and all pupils at the school.
