Humanities Teacher
Job description
We are seeking inspirational Humanities Teachers to join secondary schools across Norwich and the wider Norfolk area. These opportunities are ideal for teachers with a passion for subjects such as History, Geography, Religious Studies, PSHE or Social Sciences, who can inspire curiosity and critical thinking in Key Stage 3 and 4 students. Starting ASAP.
Duties as Humanities Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in one or more humanities subjects (History, Geography, RE, PSHE, or related disciplines).
Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of mixed-ability groups.
Foster students’ analytical and critical-thinking skills through debate, enquiry, and discussion.
Monitor and assess progress, providing constructive feedback and setting high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the curriculum and contribute to school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.
Ideal Humanities Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or recognised equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge in at least one humanities discipline.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Humanities Teacher.
Ability to motivate and inspire learners of all abilities.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
