KS1/2 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

This role offers the opportunity to support pupils with SEMH needs, including those with ASD and ADHD, in a setting that prioritises emotional well-being, consistency, and tailored learning approaches. You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning successfully through supportive relationships and thoughtful adaptation of classroom practice.
Duties as KS1/2 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for KS1 and KS2 pupils with diverse needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
- Create a calm, supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour.
- Work closely with support staff to implement personalised learning plans.
- Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Foster resilience, confidence, and independence in learners.
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare.
Ideal KS1/2 Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching KS1 and/or KS2.
- Strong understanding of SEMH, ASD, and ADHD needs and effective support strategies.
- Ability to build positive relationships and establish trust with learners.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Resilience, patience, and a reflective approach to teaching.
- Commitment to promoting pupil well-being and academic development.
