KS1/2 Teacher
Job description
This school is a welcoming and inclusive primary school dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for all our pupils. We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 or 2 Class Teacher to join a team and make a real difference to the lives of young learners. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a KS1/2 Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all pupils
Foster a love of learning through creative and inspiring teaching
Assess, record and report on pupil progress in line with school and national expectations
Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment that supports learning and promotes high standards of behaviour
Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, assess, and moderate across the phase
Support the emotional, social, and academic development of all children
Maintain clear communication with parents/carers and contribute to reports and meetings as required
Take part in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, assemblies and trips
Participate fully in staff meetings, training, and CPD opportunities
Uphold the school’s values and contribute to its inclusive and caring ethos
Ideal KS1/2 Teacher:
Hold QTS (or be working towards it with expected completion before the start date)
Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or 2 (including on placement if ECT)
Be passionate about providing high-quality education for every child
Have excellent classroom management and communication skills as a KS1/2 Teacher.
Be reflective, enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow professionally
Work well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
