KS1 Teacher
Job description
KS1 Teacher – Part-time, Thursdays and Fridays from January 2026 until February half term
This short-term opportunity is ideal for a KS1 Teacher seeking a part-time role in a supportive and well-led school environment. Pupils are enthusiastic and enjoy learning, and staff feel valued and well supported by leadership. The curriculum is broad and ambitious, with a strong emphasis on reading and phonics. Behaviour is positive, and safeguarding is effective.
Duties as KS1 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to support pupil development
- Maintain accurate records of pupil attainment and behaviour
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and school policies
Ideal KS1 Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in KS1 or primary settings
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum
- Committed to pupil progress and well-being
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a KS1 Teacher
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
