KS1 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting May 2026


This school provides a calm, nurturing, and well‑structured learning environment where pupils benefit from supportive adults, clear routines, and engaging teaching that promotes confidence and independence. Staff work collaboratively to uphold high expectations, helping pupils feel safe, motivated, and able to make steady progress. Duties as KS1 Teacher:

  • Teach a small KS1 class of 16 pupils, including mixed Year 1 and Year 2 groups
  • Provide high‑quality teaching for SEN learners working at lower attainment levels
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Support literacy, numeracy, and wider subject development
  • Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs
  • Maintain consistent behaviour routines and a calm classroom environment
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress and provide clear feedback
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support year‑group and whole‑school planning
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal KS1 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong KS1 experience
  • Confident supporting SEN and lower‑attaining learners
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Organised, reflective, and committed to high‑quality teaching
  • Able to motivate and support pupils of varying needs
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
