Job description

Step Teachers are seeking enthusiastic KS1 Teachers for daily and short-term supply roles across primary schools in Norwich and the surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible.
 
This opportunity is within a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools that foster a positive learning environment. Pupils are encouraged to be curious, confident, and respectful, while staff are supported through strong leadership and a collaborative ethos. These schools promote high standards and provide enriching experiences that support both academic and personal development.
 
KS1 Teacher Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Follow school planning or adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and senior leaders
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Ideal Candidate for KS1 Teacher Roles
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills as KS1 Teachers.
  • Adaptable and confident working across different year groups
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
