KS1 Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them achieve their potential? A friendly primary school is seeking a caring and committed KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team and make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a KS1 Teaching Assistant:

• Support pupils individually or in small groups, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.

• Assist with classroom management and organisation, ensuring a positive learning environment.

• Prepare resources and support practical activities as directed by the class teacher.

• Monitor and report on pupils’ progress, behaviour, and wellbeing.

• Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, other support staff, and parents to meet the needs of all children.

Ideal KS1 Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.

• A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners.

• Good communication, teamwork, and organisational skills as a KS1 Teaching Assistant.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
