Job description
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them achieve their potential? A friendly primary school is seeking a caring and committed KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team and make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a KS1 Teaching Assistant:
Support pupils individually or in small groups, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
Assist with classroom management and organisation, ensuring a positive learning environment.
Prepare resources and support practical activities as directed by the class teacher.
Monitor and report on pupils’ progress, behaviour, and wellbeing.
Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
Work collaboratively with teachers, other support staff, and parents to meet the needs of all children.
Ideal KS1 Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners.
Good communication, teamwork, and organisational skills as a KS1 Teaching Assistant.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
