Learning Support Assistant

Position: Male Learning Support Assistant (SEND Experience)
Location: Hillingdon

As a Male Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to students with SEND, ensuring they have equal access to education and thrive in their learning environment. Responsibilities:

  • As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students, providing one-on-one or small group support to enhance their learning experience.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the overall well-being of students with learning and physical disabilities.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education professionals to create a holistic and effective support system.
  • A key duty as a Learning Support Assistant will be to Implement strategies to address specific learning challenges and facilitate skill development.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a related role is preferred.
  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) experience in a school-based environment.
  • A genuine passion for working with students with learning and physical disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic educational setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in special education or a related field would be an advantage.
