Job description

We are seeking a flexible and committed Learning Support Assistant to provide support across different year groups on a temporary basis, covering long-term staff sickness from November 2025.

Duties as a Learning Support Assistant:

 

  • Provide in-class support to pupils to help them access learning and reach their full potential

  • Work with individual pupils or small groups to deliver targeted interventions

  • Assist teachers in adapting learning materials and activities to meet the needs of all learners

  • Support pupils with additional needs, promoting inclusion and engagement

  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment

  • Support different classes and year groups as required

Ideal Learning Support Assistant:

 

  • Relevant Teaching Assistant or Learning Support qualification (Level 2 or 3 preferred)

  • Previous experience supporting pupils in a school setting

  • Ability to adapt to different classrooms and year groups confidently

  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills as a Learning Support Assistant.

  • A caring and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development
