Job description

Maths and Design Technology Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role from as soon as possible until July 2026

Duties as Maths and Design Technology Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging Maths and Design Technology lessons up to KS3 using pre-prepared materials
  • Support pupil understanding without planning responsibilities
  • Create a positive and encouraging classroom environment
  • Assess pupil progress informally during lessons and provide clear feedback
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote positive routines
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support cohesive curriculum delivery
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure pupil welfare

Ideal Maths and Design Technology Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience teaching Maths and Design Technology
  • Strong subject knowledge in both Maths and DT at KS3
  • Confident classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to supporting pupil well-being and progress
