Job description

Class Act Teaching Services are currently looking for a combined Maths and Science Teacher for a permanent role in a SEND School in Kidlington. The school are looking for a Maths and Science Teacher who can start immediately for a full time, permanent teaching role. 

This Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school is a specialist SEND provision school tailored to individuals from 11-19 years of age. As well as providing a curriculum where they can learn, the school places an emphasis on supporting the young people that attend to become confident individual and be prepared for their next step after school. 

Maths and Science Teacher Role:

  • Strong knowledge of the Maths and Science curriculum at KS3 and KS4 and the ability to tailor this to the students in your class
  • Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements of a Maths and Science Teacher:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Secondary School
  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Maths and/or Science Teacher
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • A relevant Maths or Science related degree is desirable.
  • SEND experience
