Maths Skills Instructor – Full-time, temporary to permanent position starting January 2026
We are seeking a dedicated Maths Skills Instructor to join a welcoming and inclusive school community. Duties as Maths Skills Instructor:
- Deliver targeted maths instruction to support pupils’ core numeracy skills
- Plan and implement engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support whole-school maths initiatives
- Provide intervention support for pupils requiring additional help
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Maths Skills Instructor:
- Experience teaching or tutoring maths in a school or educational setting
- Strong understanding of numeracy development and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and development
