Job description

Step Teachers are excited to announce that they are currently looking to employ an ECT Maths Teacher to provide regular cover in one of our user schools. The role starts in June and will be suited for early career teachers only. As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you will be able to approach each day with a high level of enthusiasm and passion for your subject, inspiring pupils through exciting, creative lessons. 

The Academy has dedicated staff and students eager to improve their learning environments and experiences. The school site is similar to a university-style campus to inspire students to follow their inspirations. 

  Role:  

  • Strong Maths curriculum knowledge at KS3 & 4 

  • Set high inspections that will engage and challenge students 

  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable 

  • Demonstrate excellent progress and outcomes from your students 

  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students 

  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively 

Requirements:  

  • Hold QTS or the equivalent of 

  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Maths 

  • A relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
