Maths Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026


This school provides a calm, structured and supportive learning environment where pupils benefit from consistent routines, positive relationships and teaching that promotes confidence and engagement. Staff work closely to maintain high expectations, helping pupils feel motivated, secure and ready to learn. Pupils respond well to purposeful lessons that develop curiosity, resilience and steady academic progress across KS3 and KS4.

Duties as Maths Teacher:

  • Teach full time across KS3 and KS4 groups.
  • Deliver lessons both on site and via Zoom to other campuses around the country.
  • Provide engaging and well‑sequenced Maths teaching in line with curriculum expectations.
  • Adapt lesson delivery to support a range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Maintain consistent behaviour expectations and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Support pupils in developing numeracy, reasoning and problem‑solving skills.
  • Assess progress and provide constructive verbal and written feedback.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative discussions.
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare.

Ideal Maths Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong Maths teaching experience.
  • Confident teaching KS3 and KS4 to middle‑ability learners.
  • Comfortable delivering lessons both in person and remotely via Zoom.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities.
  • Able to motivate and support pupils with differing abilities.
  • Reflective, proactive and committed to high‑quality teaching.
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being.
