Music Teacher – Swinton (Salford) – Full-Time, Long-Term – Step Teachers
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative Music Teacher to join a high-achieving Roman Catholic secondary school in Swinton (Salford), starting ASAP.
This is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering engaging music lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils develop skills in performance, composition, and music theory.
- Inspiring students to explore a wide range of genres, traditions, and technologies in music-making.
- Preparing pupils for GCSE Music, ensuring they are confident in both the practical and theoretical elements of the course.
- Leading extra-curricular activities such as choirs, ensembles, or school productions.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school, including worship and liturgical celebrations where music plays a central role.
Who You Are
- A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with strong subject knowledge and passion for music education.
- Skilled in developing students’ confidence as performers and composers.
- Creative, organised, and enthusiastic about using the school’s excellent resources.
- A positive team player who enjoys collaboration with colleagues and values the ethos of a Roman Catholic school.
- Committed to helping every pupil succeed, both academically and personally.
