Job description
We are looking for a warm, caring, and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join an early years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with young children and supporting their development in a nurturing and engaging environment. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Nursery Assistant:
Support the daily routines and activities of the nursery
Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children aged 0–5
Assist with the planning and delivery of age-appropriate learning opportunities
Provide care, comfort, and support to children, ensuring their emotional and physical needs are met
Work closely with nursery staff to monitor and record children's progress
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Ideal Nursery Assistant:
Experience working in an early years setting (nursery, crèche, or similar)
A gentle, patient, and friendly manner
A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Strong communication and teamwork skills as a Nursery Assistant.
A commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing
A relevant Level 2/3 childcare qualification (preferred but not essential)
