Year 3 Teacher – Full-time, long-term maternity cover starting June 2026

Duties as Year 3 Teacher:

Plan and deliver high‑quality Year 3 lessons in line with curriculum expectations
Take full teacher responsibilities including planning, marking, assessments, and parent communication
Attend parents’ evenings, meetings, and relevant whole‑school events
Support pupils in developing secure literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum skills
Adapt teaching strategies to meet varied learning needs, including SEND
Maintain consistent routines and positive behaviour approaches
Monitor pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support strong year‑group practice
Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil well‑being

Ideal Year 3 Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong KS2 teaching experience
Confident taking full class teacher responsibilities
Strong organisational and communication skills
Effective classroom and behaviour management
Ability to motivate and support pupils of varying abilities
Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
