Year 3 Teacher – Full-time, long-term maternity cover starting June 2026

Duties as Year 3 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality Year 3 lessons in line with curriculum expectations
  • Take full teacher responsibilities including planning, marking, assessments, and parent communication
  • Attend parents’ evenings, meetings, and relevant whole‑school events
  • Support pupils in developing secure literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum skills
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet varied learning needs, including SEND
  • Maintain consistent routines and positive behaviour approaches
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support strong year‑group practice
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil well‑being

Ideal Year 3 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong KS2 teaching experience
  • Confident taking full class teacher responsibilities
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management
  • Ability to motivate and support pupils of varying abilities
  • Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
