Job description

Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for a Primary School Teacher in Stevenage. The role is part time, Monday and Friday in a mixed Year 3/4 class, initially until the end of term but has the potential to be extended into the new year. 

This is a two-form entry Primary School who are looking for someone who can embody the schools values and have a positive impact on both the school and people within it. The school strives to create a learning environment which nurtures the drive to learn and succeed in everyone throughout their lives.

Role:

  • Strong knowledge of the Primary School Curriculum
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom, and throughout the school
  • Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging lesson that can be adapted to the needs of the class
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching in a Primary School
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • Experience working with SEND is desirable
