Job description

PE Teacher – Full-time, long-term cover from January 2026

We are seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school community. Duties as PE Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across key stages, with a focus on female students
  • Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
  • Organise and oversee extracurricular sports clubs and school competitions
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and events

Ideal PE Teacher:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching PE, particularly to female students
  • Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and inclusive teaching practices
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • Passionate about promoting physical activity and student wellbeing
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
