Job description

​Step Teachers are working with a secondary school based in the King's Lynn and West Norfolk District to source a PE teacher to join their department immediately. This role is available on a full-time basis and for the right candidate, this could lead to a permanent role being offered.

This particular school has recently changed its leadership team and has completely changed the school's behaviour and maintained good behaviour through a series of strategies. The student’s attendance is good, and the pupils feel valued. The teachers have high expectations of the students, and they engage in learning, and discussions and produce good-quality work.

The role:

  • Strong PE curriculum knowledge at KS3 & 4

  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom and sports area’s with accessible resources where needed

  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable

  • Ability to assess and report on your students when required

  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or the equivalent of 

  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching PE

  • A relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
