PE Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

Duties as PE Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stages, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum
  • Organise and supervise practical sports activities and maintain safety standards
  • Promote teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles among pupils
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental planning
  • Manage classroom and sports hall behaviour effectively
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure the welfare of all pupils

Ideal PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching PE at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to inspire a love of physical education
  • Experience working with female students and promoting positive engagement
  • Excellent organisational and classroom management skills
  • Ability to differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs
  • Commitment to professional development and collaborative working
  • A proactive approach to promoting pupil progress and achievement
