Job description

PE Teachers – Day-to-Day General Cover, Starting Immediately
 
These flexible opportunities are ideal for PE teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will work across Paignton and the surrounding areas, providing general cover on a day-to-day basis, with the potential for longer-term or permanent roles.

Duties as PE Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons and general classroom cover when required
  • Follow pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Assess and support student progress where appropriate
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold safeguarding standards

Ideal PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching PE across Key Stages is desirable
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to different subjects and school environments
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or have one registered on the Update Service
