Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts. As a part of our ongoing success, we are seeking a Reception Class Teacher in Ware. This Reception Class Teacher role starts after the May half term and is a maternity cover role until the end of December 2024. 

The ethos of the school is nurture a love of learning in every child and teach them to respect both themselves and others. It is a one form-entry Primary School rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED, and emphasises the importance of a collaborative learning approach between the pupils, parents and wider community. 

Role of Reception Class Teacher:

• Strong knowledge of the Early Years curriculum
• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
• Work effectively with other Class Teachers and staff throughout the school
• Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
• Able to plan and deliver engaging lesson that can be adapted to the needs of the class
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Reception Class Teacher Requirements:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
• Recent experience as a Class Teacher in a mainstream Primary School
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• Experience working with SEND is desirable
