Job description

Step Teachers are looking for a Reception Teacher to teach a Reception Class in Norwich on a supply basis starting June until the end of the academic year.

As a Reception Teacher at our school, you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing the curiosity and creativity of our youngest learners. From fostering a love for learning to building essential foundation skills, you'll guide our reception class through their first steps in education.

Role of Reception Teacher:

  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years curriculum
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
  • Work effectively with other Class Teachers and staff throughout the school
  • Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging lessons that can be adapted to the needs of the class
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Reception Class Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
  • Recent experience as a Class Teacher in a mainstream Primary School
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • Experience working with SEND is desirable
