Reception Year Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting January 2026

Duties as Reception Year Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to meet individual needs
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support home learning
  • Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times

Ideal Reception Year Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in Early Years or Reception
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS and child development
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
