Reception Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role until July 2026, starting February 2026

Duties as Reception Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons that support early literacy, numeracy, and play‑based learning
Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independence
Observe and assess progress, recording evidence of learning
Adapt teaching to meet a range of developmental needs
Support early social and emotional development through structured routines
Collaborate with EYFS staff to deliver a cohesive learning experience
Maintain communication with colleagues and follow consistent teaching expectations
Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise child welfare

Ideal Reception Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in EYFS
Strong understanding of early years development and EYFS curriculum
Ability to create engaging, play‑based learning experiences
Strong organisational and classroom management skills
Patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive child development
