Religious Studies Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a passionate and versatile Religious Studies Teacher to join a team from October 2025. In this role, you will teach Religious Studies as well as Citizenship and Social Wellbeing, helping students develop academically, socially, and morally in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Duties as a Religious Studies Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Religious Studies, Citizenship, and Social Wellbeing across relevant key stages.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets.
Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, critical thinking, and personal development.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, assemblies, and enrichment events.
Ideal Religious Studies Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies and Citizenship, with experience teaching Social Wellbeing desirable.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Religious Studies Teacher.
Commitment to promoting the welfare of students and creating an inclusive learning environment.
Enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for inspiring young people.
