Job description

We are seeking a passionate and versatile Religious Studies Teacher to join a team from October 2025. In this role, you will teach Religious Studies as well as Citizenship and Social Wellbeing, helping students develop academically, socially, and morally in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Duties as a Religious Studies Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Religious Studies, Citizenship, and Social Wellbeing across relevant key stages.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets.

  • Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, critical thinking, and personal development.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, assemblies, and enrichment events.

Ideal Religious Studies Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies and Citizenship, with experience teaching Social Wellbeing desirable.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Religious Studies Teacher.

  • Commitment to promoting the welfare of students and creating an inclusive learning environment.

  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for inspiring young people.
