Religious Education Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting February 2026

Duties as Religious Education Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons across relevant year groups
- Support pupils in developing critical thinking, discussion, and reflective skills
- Maintain positive behaviour routines and create a calm classroom environment
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet varied learning needs
- Assess pupil progress within lessons and offer constructive feedback
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider curriculum initiatives
- Promote an inclusive environment that encourages respectful dialogue
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Religious Education Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching RE or related Humanities subjects
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to inspire meaningful discussion
- Effective classroom and behaviour management
- Ability to motivate and support learners of different abilities
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Reflective, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
- Dedicated to safeguarding and pupil well‑being
