Step Teachers are collaborating with a SEN school in Cambridge to recruit a full-time SEN-trained KS2 Teacher long-term to start ASAP.

This is an "Outstanding" Ofstead-rated school where there are strong positive connections between adults and students, along with well-defined expectations, contribute to excellent behaviour among pupils. Adults encourage students to exert effort and strive for excellence, which they consistently demonstrate. Students actively engage in lessons, understanding that adults are readily available to offer expert assistance and guidance when required.

The class will also be supported by an experienced HLTA, who has been working with these learners for some time. SEN KS2 Teacher Role:

• As a SEN KS2 Teacher, you must have a strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum 
• Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom and throughout the school
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress
• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
• Have recent mainstream school-based experience as an SEN KS2 Teacher
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• SEND experience is desirable
