SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, both in class and in small group or one-to-one settings.

• Assist the teacher in adapting learning activities to suit individual needs.

• Help develop pupils’ social, emotional, and communication skills.

• Promote independence and encourage positive behaviour.

• Provide personal care where necessary.

• Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress.

Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).

• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

• Ability to follow support plans and use initiative when required.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
