SEND Teacher – Day-to-day supply from as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

Duties as SEND Teacher:

Deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated strategies
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and independence
Work closely with teaching assistants and SENCOs to support pupil progress
Manage behaviour effectively using positive reinforcement techniques
Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil development
Maintain accurate records of pupil attainment and progress

Ideal SEND Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching pupils with SEND in UK schools
Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive teaching practices
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments
A flexible and proactive approach to supply teaching
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
