Job description
SEND Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary and ongoing from as soon as possible
This is an excellent opportunity for a SEND Teacher to join a school that prioritises inclusion and pupil well-being. The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment where pupils with special educational needs are encouraged to achieve their full potential. Staff work collaboratively to ensure high-quality teaching and tailored support for every child.
Duties as SEND Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for pupils with SEND across appropriate key stages
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet individual learning needs
- Work closely with support staff and other professionals to implement personalised learning plans
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence
- Ensure safeguarding and well-being practices are consistently applied
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required
Ideal SEND Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Previous experience teaching pupils with SEND in a school setting
- Strong understanding of strategies to support diverse learning needs
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing requirements
- Committed to promoting inclusion and safeguarding children
