SEND Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting February 2026

Duties as SEND Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to SEND learners
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning and developmental needs
  • Support pupils through calm, structured routines that aid regulation and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with support staff to deliver consistent strategies
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide clear verbal feedback
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
  • Contribute to planning and assessment within the wider team
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal SEND Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching SEND pupils
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and adaptive teaching
  • Calm, patient approach and confident managing diverse needs
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and support pupils with varied abilities
  • Proactive, reflective, and committed to high‑quality SEND practice
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
