SEND Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting February 2026

Duties as SEND Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to SEND learners
Adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning and developmental needs
Support pupils through calm, structured routines that aid regulation and engagement
Work collaboratively with support staff to deliver consistent strategies
Monitor pupil progress and provide clear verbal feedback
Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
Contribute to planning and assessment within the wider team
Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal SEND Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching SEND pupils
Strong understanding of SEND strategies and adaptive teaching
Calm, patient approach and confident managing diverse needs
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to motivate and support pupils with varied abilities
Proactive, reflective, and committed to high‑quality SEND practice
Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
