Job description
SEND Teachers – Supply roles in Rochdale and surrounding areas, starting ASAP
These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in Rochdale and the surrounding areas. You will work with pupils who have special educational needs, delivering tailored lessons and supporting their academic and personal development.
Duties as SEND Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
- Differentiate learning activities to support pupils with a range of SEND requirements
- Work closely with support staff and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and staff
Ideal SEND Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, and other needs
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
