Job description

SEND Teacher – Full-time, long-term roles starting as soon as possible
 
These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

Duties as SEND Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with a range of SEND including SEMH, ASD, MLD and SLD
  • Create a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment
  • Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs and external professionals
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently

Ideal SEND Teacher:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching in SEND or inclusive secondary settings
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of SEND strategies and EHCPs
  • Is patient, resilient and committed to pupil development
  • Has excellent communication and classroom management skills
